KeyStone
February 1, 2019 1:54 pm 3 CommentsWelcome! We couldn’t be more excited to unveil the theme of the core conversion to you. After all, It’s For You! We’re excited to take you through the decades and provide some fun facts from each time period, including credit union industry and Centris facts, all while working hard preparing for conversion weekend (Aug 31-Sep 3).
Below is a recap of ‘hippie’ Steve’s comments about KeyStone and Corelation from the party on Saturday:
- The company Corelation was created by a John Landis
- He wrote the first credit union processing software 30 years ago
- He wrote another popular credit union system just over 20 years ago
- And just a few years ago, learning from his past designs and codes, he wrote KeyStone (the new core system we will be converting to in September)

- Corelation and Centris share a lot of the same values and culture. This was super important to Centris leadership when we were choosing a new core system to go with.
- The philosophy of Corelation is delivering as much functionality within the core system as possible. This means that data is housed in one place, can be accessed quicker, and there are less failure points compared to having multiple and separate third-party systems being connected.
- In KeyStone, you can find all the information about a member’s accounts in one place, but at the same time, it is also very easy to drill down to more detailed information
- On the Teller line, when you scan a check, all the information from the check will fill into the transaction screen
- Our new optical system will have enhanced integration with KeyStone, so you’ll be able to view a lot of documents within KeyStone

- That’s only a small preview of the improvements KeyStone will provide for us. The project team and subject matter experts are working hard to make sure the conversion goes smoothly for employees and members and they’re also learning new things about KeyStone every day. We are excited to share those things with you over the next seven months. Be sure to take a look at the calendar of events for important milestones in the project and check back often to learn new facts about each decade.
It’s For You!
