1970s Fun

The activism of the 1960s continued into the ’70s, particularly for women and other minorities. As the war in Vietnam came to an end, new social causes came to the fore, especially environmentalism.
In the 1970s:
- The Beatles break up.
- Apollo 15 lands on the moon and uses the Lunar Rover vehicle for the first time.
- Five men are caught breaking in to the Watergate Complex where the Democratic Party offices are – the start of the Watergate Scandal.
- U.S. planes bomb North Vietnam on Christmas Day.
- Supreme Court rules on Roe v. Wade
- The mobile phone is invented
- Apple Computer is founded by Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak.
