• DJ Alan Freed coins the term “Rock n’ Roll”
• The first hydrogen bomb is successfully detonated by the United States
• The Double Helix DNA Model is revealed by Francis Crick and James Watson
• Rosa Parks is arrested in Alabama after she refuses to give up her bus seat, sparking the Civil Rights Movement.
• The polio vaccine, frozen dinners,  McDonald’s chain is started, “In God We Trust” is added to all paper currency, the micro-chip, NASA is created, Alaska and Hawaii become US States
